Green Lantern and The Hulk

It has been very encouraging to see the positive reaction to The Hulk as a result of his appearance in The Avengers.  The fact that there is renewed interest in a solo Hulk sequel proves that audiences are willing to give a character a second (or third) chance to get things right.  I hope that DC/Warner Brothers understands this and will be able to give us a Green Lantern sequel that learns from the mistakes of the first entry.

Loving what you do man! Especially how seamlessly you photoshop the pics of different heroes. Good job man.

Also yeah, maybe a new Hulk movie would do alright, but you'd have to keep the same Banner every time instead of constantly switching them around, and yes I know that the new hulk was due to edward norton quitting the hulk.

DC needs a new GL movie, because the last one sucked! Get a different Hal, like that guy from Castle, and we'll see.

Dave sez,

Channelling your Schwartz for this cover - I like it!

I don't think Edward Norton quit the job as Bruce Banner. He was invited to not continue the role or be in The Avengers becuase. I thought I read something somewhere that it was due to his inability to work and play well with others...

It's going to be so cool to see an ABC-TV Hulk series, and a Hulk film - I guess one is due by 2015...

Hopefully DC/Warners will see that Marvel's plan works and they try to follow it with toward a JLA film!

Personally I liked the Green Lantern movie. But then I've learned in nearly 50 years of living that my tastes rarely match those of the masses. I remember being so surprised as a kid when the rest of the world seemed to love the original Star Wars as much as I did. And I liked Green Lantern and John Carter but loathed Avatar and Seth Rogen's Green Hornet travesty. Oh, well, to each his own.

Ross, kind of a random request, but you know what I would love to see? A super villain wedding. We don’t get enough of those….say Bullseye to Catwoman, as presided over by Dr. Doom. That might be kind of a tall order but I’m so over the mega-hyped super hero weddings. Time the villains started to pull their fair share.

Not necessarily weddings, but I do have a at least a couple of covers featuring villains in love in the pipeline...

Ha! This cover reminds me yet again of a New Amalgam Comics character this guy did on deviantart.com. Green Giant=Hal Jordan and the Hulk, real name Dr. Bruce Jordan. His cousin, Jennifer-Lynn Walters, is known as She-Nova (Jade+She-Hulk).

Like John, I actually liked the Green Lantern movie, and thought Avatar was weak. (I haven't yet seen Green Lantern or John Carter, though the latter is on my personal "want to rent" list.) I do hope we get a second GL film; if Superman and Batman likewise keep going forward, it could lead to a JLA movie.

And on the topic of GL, is there a chance of teaming him with Captain Britain? Both characters have that sort of "I'm just part of a corps" thing going.

I stumbled on your blog the other day, and I have just had a blast looking at all the covers. It's like entering a parallel dimension where Marvel and DC share a dimension.

Bob - Captain Britain will indeed meet someone with a power ring...

Please start using some of the New (rainbow) Lanterns created since Blackest Night. Some of the new Red Lanterns are absolute badasses, as well as the Blue Lanterns.
