Legion of Super-Heroes and Captain Marvel

I enjoyed the animated Legion of Super-Heroes series for what it was, a cartoon geared at younger viewers.  It handled the large cast well and introduced viewers to a side of the DCU that was only hinted at on other shows.  What I would really like to see, however, is the Legion in one of DC's direct to video animated movies.  The Great Darkness Saga would be a cool story to adapt in that format.  DC's animated movies are great, but they seem to be in a cycle of Batman - Superman - JLA stories, which are I guess more guaranteed sales.  Hopefully they will venture out into more of their properties and we can see a true animated LSH epic one of these days.

Nice, nice cover.

And you're definitely right on that point. The GD saga really is ideal for the animated movies that come out every year. Why it hasn't been chosen I don't know other than the reasons you listed above.

So many iconic story-lines just waiting to be translated onto animation but with the NU52 here, will they ever been made or not? That is the question.

Great cover. Nice mix of three different covers in this one. Now to figure out where each of the three images came from (I am know where the Mongul image is from, time to figure out the Capt. Marvel cover and Legion covers used).

Mongul and the LSH are from the same DCCP cover.

@Wild Card: If you know where the Mongul image is from then you know where the Legion is from. There's only two covers here.
