Aquaman and The Human Torch

Aside from the obvious differences in their power sets and preferred locales, these two are quite opposite when it comes to personalities.  Aquaman is a serious authority figure with the weight of an entire kingdom on his mind, while Johnny Storm is an impetuous maverick, full of youthful angst.  It would be interesting to see the two try to operate effectively together.

WOW! That is easily the best one you've done in a long time--and that's not a critique of your usual custom covers, that's just a statement of how good this one is! Great job!

I totally agree with the above. The art looks almost like it was drawn as a unit, the story idea looks very compelling, and the two characters are a study in contrasts -- something at which you particularly excel.

And speaking of the latter, I bring up yet again my favorite team-up suggestion: Wolverine and Ambush Bug.

Wow! That's cool!
I'd almost like to see a Human Torch and Toro team up with Arthur and Garth!

And, let me say, if you are not reading Aquaman, you should give it a try. Yes, the stories are a bit padded for trades; but I am really enjoying how cool Arthur is.

It's been awhile since I've read a Fantastic Four book. Waid and Weringo's run was pretty good. I never clicked with what Hickman was doing. I have the entire Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four all-ages run. I think Jeff Parker wrote most issues. Now he's writing Batman '66 - another great book!

Pretty cool! Now all you need is a second confrontation where Arthur brutally takes down Johnny in an aquatic setting.
