Batman Beyond and Iron Man 2020

The idea here was to put two heroes of the future together, but Arno Stark won't be a future hero for much longer when you consider that 2020 is only 6 short years away.  Isn't the "future" from Back to the Future Part II supposed to be coming right up as well?  Man, it really makes a guy feel old when he catches up to the futuristic tales of his youth!

Not to mention we are well past the dates predicted in Terminator 2 Judgement Day, 2001 A Space Odyssey and 2010 The Year We Make Contact, Space 1999 etc.

Yep! Marty McFly went to October 21, 2015, so that's next year! Remember to place your bets on the Chicago Cubs!

We're also well past the carnivorous zombie future of the 1980's predicted in the first Deathlok stories in "Astonishing Tales". But if you want some real jaw-dropping retro-futurism, you need to watch the 1970-1971 TV series "UFO", the predecessor to "Space 1999". You'll see the year 1980 as it never was, with nehru jackets as standard business attire, cordless phones, computer terminals in the office and everybody drives gull-wing cars!
