Calvin & Hobbes and Tintin (Part One)

This pairing was a request of my beautiful niece Malena, who just turned 10.  She was already a big Calvin and Hobbes fan and is now reading the Tintin stories that I loved when I was her age. Of course, a team-up this epic in nature cannot be contained within a single issue, so stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion tomorrow!

This promises to be great fun, and a great contrast with the preceding issue.

Are you familiar with the comic strip "Agnes"? She has something in common with Calvin, in that she has her own superhero persona. I was just thinking the other day that it would be great fun to bring together Wellness Woman and Stupendous Man.

Nicely rendered! How about one featuring Batman and Cal teaming up to rescue Hobbs from Catwoman?

Not familiar with Hoobs or Agnes, but Calvin (and Stupendous Man) will return...

If Calvin is going to appear again you may find it easier to combine art styles using Chris Eliopolous' Franklin Richards comics. They seem like a natural pair, one with an out of control imagination and the other with the power to bend reality to make it all happen. Even Hobbes and H.E.R.B.I.E. can combine into a H.O.B.B.I.E.

A little too close in style - I always felt that Elipoulos Franklin Richards stuff was kind of a Calvin rip off.
