Adam Strange and Flash Gordon

This is a pairing that I have been meaning to get to for a while. They seem like they would naturally cross paths sooner or later,   They would certainly have plenty in common, both being Earth men that became champions of a faraway world. Truly it would be an amazing sci-fi adventure!

This made me think of that wonderful meeting of Buck Rogers (Gil Gerard) and *Commander* Gordon (Played by Buster Crabbe) During the Buck Rogers series. Rogers asks Gordon if they'd ever met, to which Gordon replies it was unlikely since they were "From different times" and added that he had been doing that kind of thing before Rogers was born.

Rogers (Gerard) "You think so?"

Gordon (Crabbe) "Young man, I know so."

You can add John Carter to the mix! Great team-up!

You're right, Ross. Alex Raymond, Murphy Anderson, and Julie Schwartz would have loved to see such a team-up! Provided, of course, it was handled with much better co-operation than, say, the pre-production efforts of JLA/AVENGERS. That particular lack of co-operation kept that now-classic mini-series in Creative Limbo for more than 20 years. Far longer than even the very first live-action IRON MAN movie stayed there!

If, however, that hurdle could be surmounted, relatively smoothly, DC and Dynamite Entertainment would probably have an even bigger hit on their hands than they did with GREEN HORNET vs. BATMAN '66.

"Here endeth the lesson." (--Sean Connery)

I am surprised that you haven't used this one before. It seems like a natural.

Corsair and the Starjammers would also mesh well with this team-up.

How about J'onn J'onzz and--or vs.--Marvin the Martian?

That one could even be done in the real world, since Time Warner owns both characters.

I think that they might have met during the 4-part 'Superman / Bugs Bunny' limited series, which was apparently a canonical incident for DC's main pre-Flashpoint universe; Kyle Rayner, at least, certainly encountered Marvin then. (Quote: "There has to be a rational explanation for this.")

Also, during the 'Emperor Joker' storyline, the Joker's re-imagining of the JLA turned J'onn into something much more like Marvin.

I blinked when this came up on my screen, and for a moment I thought it said "Adam Strange and Frank Gorshin."

Could've been worse, Bob. You might have hallucinated "Adam Strange and Flesh Gordon!" ;-D

I'm surprised that you hadn't done this one before now - it's such a gimme...

I hate to nitpick, but I would have liked this even better if Adam Strange was wearing his "classic" uniform . . . .

Now, what about Adam Strange meets his cousin Dr. Strange?

Adam Strange / Doctor Strange is on here already, check the labels.

The chief trouble with this team-up is how to tell them apart!

Is this a real issue? I can't find it anywhere.
